Who should come to Youthfest?
NH YOUTHFEST IS FOR MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL AGE

WEEKLY EVENTS: Recommended for middle and high school youth (grades 6-12)** with NH Youthfest chaperones and  safety cleared parents. We use the LIFETEEN Platform for the basis of the nights

 

Yearly EVENTS: Have to have all Safety Clearances, Chaperone requirements: Must be 21 or older. Those who regularly work with the youth must be in compliance with all safe environment requirements. Ratio grade 6-8 is 1:8. Ratio grade 9-12 is 1:10. Chaperones should be assigned to specific groups of youth. Please note there will be break out sessions when the High School and Middle School groups are in different areas.

 

** Some middle schools have students starting in 6th grade some in the 7th.  You know your group; use your judgment to decide what grade to open this up to for your parish.

 

What do I bring, not bring, wear, etc. Weekly as well as Yearly?

 

Bring: Water bottle, any medications to be taken during event (in original container), kneeler if desired, frisbees and footballs for fun on the field (weather permitting) during breaks and lunch.

Don’t Bring: (Remember…just like concerts…if you bring a backpack it is subject to a search)

  • Alcohol, illegal drugs, firearms/weapons, laser pointers, fireworks, noisemakers, joke items, lighters, I-pods, video games and any other entertainment devices

  • No large plastic coolers inside the arena.  Please leave them in your vehicle.

  • No skate boards, roller blades etc.

 

DRESS CODE: 

WEEKLY: we will all be confined to generally one room with all attendants together Please dress modestly but comfortable ( Remeber to dress as if JESUS is in the room with you as HE will be. Clothing must cover all undergarments and midriffs, and have a sleeve (short sleeves or cap sleeves are acceptable). Spaghetti straps, sleeveless shirts or bikini tops are not acceptable (and might just be too cold). Low cut or tight fitting tops, mini skirts, and short shorts are also not acceptable. 

YEARLY: The majority of time will be spent at the Sullivan Arena, which may be a cool environment. We may also be outside so please dress for comfort and wear safe footwear. Keep in mind that the day’s agenda includes activities. We ask that you dress respectfully, modestly. Clothing must cover all undergarments and midriffs, and have a sleeve (short sleeves or cap sleeves are acceptable). What else do I need to know for the YEARLY Event?

 

Wristbands: At registration you will receive enough wristbands for all registered participants and chaperones.  In an effort to support our security staff all attendees are required to wear their wristbands at all times during the event.

 

Lunch:  Awesome lunch is provided as part of the registration fee. Gluten Free/Dairy Free/Vegan option will be available. The event will close at 6:30 pm this year. Dinner is on your own per your group’s needs.

 

Spending Money: There will be an opportunity to purchase T-shirts, CD’s, books and additional Catholic teen items from various bookstores and vendors who join us for the event. Artist merchandise will be available for purchase. There will also be an offertory collection during Mass for a charity.

Photographs/Videos: No outside photographers or videographers are allowed to film or photograph the event.  We do have professionals on site.  Photographic or recorded video clips that include your image may be used in materials that are produced for the future promotion of the NH Catholic Youthfest event.

 

Smoking Policy: No smoking is allowed in any of the buildings or on the Saint Anselm College campus including outside areas.

 

Parking: Please park in the lots adjacent to the Sullivan Arena. Handicap parking is located directly outside of the front entrance to the arena.

 

Cell Phones: Please take responsibility for the proper use of your group’s cell phone & texting.  We ask that chaperones monitor the use of cell phones so that they do not become a distraction to others.

 

Campus Use: We are guests of Saint Anselm College and at all times during NH Catholic Youthfest we must be respectful.  In order to insure that we do not disturb the students who are preparing for exams, we have been asked not to purchase lunches or snacks from the Dining Services on campus and we’ve also been asked not to freely roam the campus.

 

Arena Exiting: Here’s a biggie…for personal safety and respect for the college students still in session, no one is allowed to come and go from the arena. Once you’re in, you’re in until the groups are directed to exit the Arena. Teens are NOT allowed back into the parking lot or his or her car, bus, etc. until the end of the event unless accompanied by a group chaperone.

 

Chaperones/Small Group leaders: We will be conducting activities where teens may break into small groups (staying within their parish group).  All your adults will be needed in these activities. Middle School and High School youth should have chaperones designated for their group. Be sure to review with your chaperones the instructions for activities that you will receive on the day of the event.

 

Medical Attention:
The Permission slip contains needed emergency medical information. There will be a volunteer registered nurse at the Sullivan Arena throughout the day in case an emergency arises. Catholic Medical Center is only minutes away from the campus if an emergency arises.

 

How do I get to the Yearly EVENT?

 

Location: Saint Anselm College, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester, NH 03102

 

Directions:

  • From Southeast: Take Interstate 93 north to Interstate 293 north. Exit left to Rt. 101 west (Bedford/Goffstown) to junction of Rt. 101 and Rt. 114 (set of lights) and continue as directed below.*

  • From Seacoast: Take Rt. 101 west and continue as directed below.*

  • From Points West: Take Rt. 101 east and continue as directed below.*

  • From Points Southwest: Take Rt. 3 north. Continue north on Everett Turnpike (through toll plaza) to Rt. 101 west to junction of Rt. 101 and Rt. 114 (set of lights) and continue as directed below.*

  • From Points North: Take Interstate 93 south to Interstate 293 south (Everett Turnpike) to Rt. 101 west (Exit 10) to junction of Rt. 101 and Rt. 114 (set of lights) and continue as directed below.*  

 

* From Junction of Rt. 101 and Rt. 114:

  • At the junction of Rt. 101 and Rt. 114, take Route 114 north for 2.4 miles.

  • Turn right on St. Anselm Drive. At .9 miles, college will be on your right.

  • Take the 2nd right to enter campus and follow the road straight through the campus.

            Signs to the Sullivan Arena are posted. The arena is located at the very end of the campus.
